Why Replace Your S24 Battery?

  • โš ๏ธRapid drain: Battery drops 20%+ in an hour with light use
  • โš ๏ธWon't hold charge: Dies quickly even after full charge
  • โš ๏ธOverheating: Phone gets uncomfortably hot during normal use
  • โš ๏ธSwelling: Back glass lifting or screen separating (urgent!)

โš ๏ธ Important: Samsung Batteries Are Glued

Unlike iPhones with pull-tab adhesive, Samsung batteries are secured with strong adhesive. You'll need:

  • โ€ข Heat to soften the adhesive (heat gun or hair dryer)
  • โ€ข Isopropyl alcohol to dissolve remaining glue
  • โ€ข Patience - rushing can damage the battery or phone
  • โ€ข Plastic tools only - metal can puncture the battery

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Power Off & Remove SIM

Power off your S24 completely. Remove the SIM tray.

Step 2: Heat the Back Glass

Apply heat to the back glass for 3-5 minutes. The adhesive needs to be warm enough to soften. Keep the heat moving to avoid damage.

Step 3: Remove Back Glass

Use a suction cup and thin pry tool to separate the back glass. Work slowly around the edges. Samsung uses more adhesive than Apple, so this takes patience.

Step 4: Disconnect Battery

Remove the screws holding the mid-frame (if applicable). Disconnect the battery cable using a plastic spudger.

Step 5: Remove Old Battery

Apply isopropyl alcohol around the battery edges. Let it seep under for 1-2 minutes. Use a plastic card to gently pry the battery up. Apply more heat if needed.

Step 6: Install New Battery

Clean any remaining adhesive. Apply new adhesive tape. Position the new battery and press firmly. Reconnect the battery cable.

Step 7: Reassemble

Replace the mid-frame and screws. Apply new adhesive to back glass (or use B-7000 glue). Press firmly and let cure for 24 hours.
